What is
Psychotherapy...?
Psychotherapy encompasses a broad spectrum
of psychological interventions aimed at
providing support and guidance. At our
practice, we specialise in delivering therapies
recommended by NICE Guidelines, including
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Trauma Focused CBT
- Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- CBT-E / T (Eating Disorders)
- MANTRA (Eating Disorder)
As well as other therapies:
- Attachment Informed-EMDR (Trauma)
Operating primarily outside hospital settings,
we offer our services in workplaces and private
practices via online sessions. Our
psychotherapists collaborate with you to foster
self-awareness, understand behaviours,
emotions, and thoughts, and cultivate
values and relationships.
People typically engage in weekly or fortnightly
sessions, of 60 - 90minutes duration, for a
predetermined number of sessions.
Commitment beyond appointments is
essential, as you will be encouraged to
practice and apply what you learn outside of
therapy sessions - this is where the
change happens!

The Benefits to
Accessing Psychotherapy

Benefits include...
- Learning about yourself e.g., your biases,
thoughts, behaviours and emotional world and
influences from your environment, and past
impacting on the present.
- Enable you to attain your personal and life goals
- Support you to have more fulfilling relationships
e.g., allowing you to see how you can help
address your difficulties relating to others
- Improved health e.g., an improvement in
physical health as the link between mind and
body are better understood and engaged with
- Over all positive impact across your life e.g.,
when you aren't sure what is keeping you
from making changes, therapy can facilitate
you discovering the answers.
- Therapy will allow you to learn skills to address
the problems you are experiencing, and will last,
with practice, after therapy ends
Successful People
Benefit From Therapy Too...
Successful People Engage in Therapy Because...
Imposter Syndrome e.g., persistent feelings of not
being good enough leaves a sense of being unworthy
of your success and a constant feeling of being a fraud
who is only one step away from being caught out and
losing everything.
Understanding the underlying reason behind Being
Driven e.g., working harder, persevering longer, and
bouncing back from adversity faster than your peers,
this can stem from emotional hurt and pain.
Fear of Losing Everything e.g., a sense of being just
one decision away from losing everything, or
squandering opportunities given leading to the
inability to relax and recharge. Learning to understand
that net worth isn't the same as self-worth really
can help!
Lonely at the top e.g., high achievement can
ostracise people from family and friends, and the
company position can make it inappropriate to
befriend subordinates, reducing opportunities
to socialise.
Guilt Stemming from Success e.g., the first thing
many high achievers say include 'I shouldn't be here,
there are more people with bigger problems who need
you more than I do". For those who have experienced
poverty in the past they can feel guilty for the new car
or holiday they need.
Even though you are successful, therapy can
help with the issues that are still holding
you back!
